November 2015 Mixer

We’re back at V Wine Room in West Hollywood this month for our November Log Cabin Mixer featuring State Assemblymember David Hadley and Glendale Mayor Ara Najarian.

Last fall, Log Cabin members walked the precincts and donated time and money to help David beat out his opponent Al Muratuschi and break the Democrat supermajority in the State Assembly.  With the legislature adjourned until January, David will update us on the activities of the 2015 session.  He’ll tell us about victories in beating back several tax increases and other destructive legislation as well as the losses in failing to deal with long term structural challenges in the state. 

Ara Najarian is the Republican mayor of the city of Glendale and will be giving his pitch for why he should be LA County Supervisor.  Active in local politics, he has served on the board of the Glendale-Burbank Republican Assembly for years in addition to his time in city council and as Mayor.  Najarian also has great insight in to transportation having been elected to the boards of both LA Metro and Metrolink.

Plus, we’ll be continuing our toiletry drive to benefit LGBT Homeless Youth in November as we head in to the holidays.  Please continue to put aside your unused hotel and trial size toiletries like shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, soap and deodorant you may have and then bring them to the mixer.

Members get in for just $10, which includes free appetizers and happy hour pricing at the bar.  Non-members are $15.  Governor level members and above get in for free and will also receive a ticket for one of V’s boutique California wines.
